Café Binder in Tubingen

One of my favorite cafés in Tübingen

As a native of Tübingen, I've always been drawn to Café Binder. On the one hand because of the location and the opportunity to escape everyday life for an hour, on the other hand because of the careful catering and wonderful cakes! Every day the Kleinert family offers various cakes, pies, Italian and French tarts, baked pastries and really inexpensive breakfasts. Due to the original furniture and the cozy rooms, you have the opportunity to look for a cozy corner alone or with friends, especially in winter. In summer there are beautiful sun spots and great sundaes outside, either in the back garden or in the small, somewhat secluded alley! In addition to managing the café, Ms. Kleinert also takes over the pension, which extends over three floors in the same building. Thanks to the attention to detail and the courtesy of the entire staff, I have always felt comfortable and hope that some of you feel the same way! It is definitely worth stopping by!

Nice cafe.

A very familiar atmosphere. We got delicious wine and good tips for going out, etc. The cafe has delicious cakes. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated. We stayed there for 3 nights and will definitely be back. :)

A really nice and cozy café with a very lovely landlady who does everything for her guests. Always friendly service and a delicious selection of cakes and tarts. We come regularly and always with pleasure!

Absolute favorite cafe in Tübingen - small but nice - or just because of that ... Ms. Kleinert is an extremely loving and patient landlady who fulfills all possible wishes and always serves the guests who are a bit out of order with courtesy and appreciation. You feel welcome here. In addition, I don't know of any catering business in Tü, where disinfection is carried out so responsibly and reliably and where Corona is acted upon. 5 stars and an absolute recommendation.

Room request by email was not answered at all. In addition: breakfast with 2 rolls, pretzel, sausage and cheese very modest. No egg, neither boiled nor fried. No fruit. No yogurt. No crawling. No second orange juice either. In addition, breakfast time is tight from 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. And if you want breakfast at 9.30 a.m., even on a public holiday, you won't get anything. This "service" has more than just "gaps".

This is a small but fine café with a living room flair. I was not known for a long time because it seems a little inconspicuous to the outside. Mega delicious cake and super good latte and always something going on. My "insider tip" ??

My personal favorite café in Tübingen. Very good cake and a perfect coffee. The service is always friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, you don't always get a seat because of the many coffee and cake enthusiasts. It's simply how it is:)

The mere fact that the milk is served in a small jug for coffee, rather than plastic, is evidence of style and quality. And the cake is also delicious.

50s aesthetics and very quiet, but in the middle of the city

Very nice, somewhat hidden cafe in the style of the 60s. Serving teas, café, breakfasts and cakes, very friendly and attentive service. A tip in the middle of Tübingen, recommended at any time. Attention: not suitable for groups, the tables are designed for a maximum of 5 people, and there is not enough space for a table, etc. So best for two or three, then you have the most of this very nice cafe.

Best milk coffee. Super homemade cakes and pies. Service very friendly and always in a good mood. The souls are great as well.

Schnuckeliges Café

This place is so adorable, my favorite place for coffee in Tübingen. The cappuccino was frothy and delicious and was served with a tiny, buttery shortbread. The place has a retro feel with its comfy red vinyl chairs.

Excellent selection of superior cake, spot on coffees, friendly and attentive service, great ambience, and if you can get a table on the garden terrace when the weather permits, there is no better place for a convivial chat.

I stayed here while I attended a conference. It's extremely convienetly located between the University and historic Tubingen...it's just a 5-7 minute walk to either. Customer service is amazing, everyone is super possitive and very knowledgeable of the area. The rooms are modern and very clean. The included breakfast is fantastic (great coffee, orange juice, breads and prezels, hams and cheese, and jams) they really spoil you. I highly recommend staying here.

Cafe Binder is an institution in Tübingen and known way beyond - nothing fancy but a cute place to have coffee and truly homemade cakes - all in a 50s style ambiance.

The location is nice, and if it's available, I recommend the top room, which has a very pleasant view the surrounding old town rooftops.
